The application form for the civil services examination is generally comes in the month of March-April in every year. Procedure of IAS examination = The IAS examination is conducted in three steps (1) Preliminary examination. (2) Main examination. (3) Personal Interview. The first step of this examination is preliminary examination and after successful selection in the Preliminary examination you will be call for the Main examination. And one more important consideration is you must have 21 years of minimum age and your age must not exceed 30 years which is maximum upper age. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ELIGIBLITY CRITERA FOR IAS---
(i) Age limits : 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (ii) Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification. so, you also get the answer of your question. |

Yes, Graduate degree is must for IAS exam.
If you are interested in IAS, you will have to complete graduate degree in any stream from any recognised university. Age should be minimum 21year and maximum 30 year(relaxation for other category). Attampt- for general candidates is 4 times. for obc candidates is 7 times. for sc/st candidates is no limit. Selection procedure: 1. Prelimis 2. Mains 3. Interview |

Yes Graduation is the minimum educational qualification.
But final year students are also eligible for IAS. If selected, then final years students have to show their certificate of passing at the time of interview. You can take any course as your graduation course. Other things to remember: 1. Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years....the age is calculated on the basis of 1st of August of the year applying for it. [33 years for Sc/ST] 2. Should be a citizen of India. Yes, for IAS officer exam is graduation needed. There is no doubt in this. The eligibility criteria of IAS is as fillows. 1.Age limits : 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relax-able for SCs/STs, OBC's and defense personnel). SC/ST - upto a maximum of 5 years. OBC - upto a maximum of 3 years. Defense personnel - upto a maximum of 5 years. 2. Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in any stream by a recognized university. 3. To appear for IAS exam graduation is needed.. The eligibility criteria for IAS exam- One must complete the graduation in any discipline.. One can also appear in IAS exam during final year of graduation.. If you are a general candidate then the age criteria is 21-30 years.. otherwise there is age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC.. so, First complete your graduation then you can appear in IAS exam.. Graduation is must for appearing in IAS entrance exam. For appearing in IAS exam your age should be between 21-30 year. Yes, to appear for civil service exam, graduation is must. You must hold a bachelors degree to be eligible for the exam. There is no standard set regarding the percentage of marks and stream of study to appear for the exam. If you are a graduate and within the age limit of 21-30 years, you are eligible to write the exam otherwise you can't. |

You must be graduate with any stream from a recognized college. You age should be between 21 to 30 years if you fall into general category .There is relation given to reserved caste students in upper age limits and no of attempts . 35 year is upper age limit for SC/ST 33 years is upper age limit for OBC No of attempts :: 4 for general students 7 for OBC students No limit for SC/ST For more information::http://www.upsc.gov.in |
