No you cannot pursue M.Ed directly after M.Com. You have to do B.Ed first and only then you will be eligible to do M.Ed.

M.Ed stands for Masters in Education. It is a post graduate academic master degree course which lasts for two years. However in some universities the duration of this course is one year also.

The course can be pursued either in regular mode or in correspondence mode. In distance colleges the duration of this course is one year. This course is mainly taken up by those people who are interested to pursue career in academic field.

To do this course you need to have a B.Ed degree as mentioned earlier. 50-55% of marks is required in it. The admission process is based on merit. Some of the top universities also prefers to conduct a separate entrance exam for it.

Top Colleges where you can apply:-
  • Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune
  • Singhania University, Jhunjhunun
  • Karnataka State Open University, Mysore
  • Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai
  • Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai
  • University of Kalyani, Kolkata
  • Bangalore City College, Bangalore
