Economics is the consumer science which studies the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. But that is just the basic definition of Economics. M.Com in Economics is a post graduate master’s degree course. The course of M.Com in Economics is basically a course which develops the ability and capacity of a student on an advanced level in the analysis, interpretation and understanding of economic principles. The course prepares the students to use their own economic applications to assess the effect of Economics in the society. Qualifying students have to show evidence of their original and independent work. While pursuing masters, students generally have to specialize on any specific branch of the fore mentioned subject. Some of these specializations may be in the field of research design, financial economics or research methodologies.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for being able to do masters in Economics, students must at least be graduates, i.e. having passed their bachelor’s degree. Potential students must possess an honors qualification in Economics or any other equivalent discipline. In some colleges, students may also have to sit for entrance tests.

In general, the course of M.Com in Economics is of two year’s duration, which are further divided into two semesters each. The course also focuses on one year extensive study

Sir/Ma’am,
I have done simple B.Com now I want to persue P.G. with Economics or with maths. For Maths, Science stream is essential. So is there any possibility to do M.Com with economics. Or If I go for CWA course along with economics then is there any possibility. I do not want to go for M.A. so please help me. Waiting for your reply.
