Re: Which is better for jobs whether biotech or biochem?
Hello friend,
I think that Bio-technology is more demanding than Bio-chemistry. Because after Master's in Biotech ,you can have plenty of career options in future life in higher studies and as well as in job opportunities. You can join the R&D sector for further studies or even can join Govt or private biotech, pharmaceutical industries. Even you can indulge into the academics field by joining as lecturer in reputed institutes. In research laboratories and pathological clinics there are chances for you to join as senior consultant. So better go for master's in biotechnology.. All the best! |

Both are equally good but nowadays there is lots of buzz about Biotechnology. Lots of students are opting for it as lots of job offers are coming up in top pharama companies liek Biocon, ranbaxy etc
But at the end you should go for your interest and what your liking is. Both are slightly diff. so chose whatever suits you. Dont worry about the scope. If you are good job offers will come to you Best of Luck |

biotchnology is best in these two for doing Msc as the opportunities for job is much greater than that of biochemistry. biotchnology offers you with tecnical as well as teaching subjects... creating greater jobs..... the booming areas for job search in biotchnology are Bangalore and southern reign. the jobs are also in the northern part. but sadly for biochemistry the jobs are few and not lucid to get... ALL THE BEST..... |

Both the subjects are equally good. Both offers ample opportuinities. If you opt for biochemistry you can work in laboratories, research and development organizations, medical research organizations, hospitals, and various industries like food processing, pharmaceutical, agricultural, diagnostic, and other related industries. If you go for biotechnology you can get offers from pharma industry, clinics, research and development centres, universities or colleges.

Dear friend,
Both of these courses have equal prospectus. As a fact,bio-technology has been much popular between these two. You can go in the research field and as well as in the academics sector. There are many reputed drug companies where you can join as senior adviser. So just go for the career you like most. Best wishes... |

Re: Which is better for jobs whether biotech or biochem?
Biotech s better because it covers some aspects like virology, biosafetyy, law, bioengineering and bioinformatics and its more practical than biochem.however biotech does nt put much emphasis on biochemical transfformations between living cells as opposed to biochem wc s a weakness although its better than biochem.biochem purely is concentrated on chemistry of life leaving out the major practical implications.
