Re: Books to be referred for KAs exam?
KAS is one of the prestigious exam that the karnataka state govt conducts.
To prepare for the same start with all basic books such as NCERT .After NCERT only start reading Reference books. otherwise for students who are from science background or people who are writing their exam after a long gap of graduation will stumble at many steps of their preparation. Then read news paper daily without fail and make note of important things in a separate book, may not write the full paragraphs but in short words so that you recall when required. You can go for the following reference Books as under- 1. Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth 2. R.S.Agarwal Arithmetic 3. Brief Introduction to Indian Constitution by Xaviers Pinto 4. Essential of Grammar- Oxford Publications 5. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Arun Sharma Exam Patterm:- Preliminary Exam Main exam Interview 1. Preliminary Exam:- There are two papers in preliminary exams with subjects like current affairs, Humanities, Arts, History, General Knowledge, Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology etc. 2. Main Exam The pattern of Main examination is considered to be similar as IAS Exam. There are total of 9 papers out of which 4 are on 2 subjects selected by the candidate. Paper – I : Compulsory Kannada Paper – II : Compulsory English Paper – III : General Studies (Paper – I) Paper – IV : General Studies (Paper – II) |
