Re: BTech Genetic Engineering and BTech Biotech :Are they both different?
HELLO,genetic engineering can be studied as an specialization or can take it for master degree.but bachelor degree(b.tech.) is for biotechnology not for genetic engineering.you can complete your B.tech. with biotech & M.tech.with genetic engineering.ok

Re: BTech Genetic Engineering and BTech Biotech :Are they both different?
Dear friend,
Yes definitely these two courses are different. There is no under graduation course i.e B.Tech in genetic engineering in India, as far as i know. But you can get the B.Tech degree in biotechnology. You can do the Master's course in genetic engineering. Good luck!! |

Re: BTech Genetic Engineering and BTech Biotech :Are they both different?
Gosh!! Let us not confuse our young students. Btech. in Genetic Engineering....Biotechnology...Mol.signalling, cytochromtechnology....It's all fun. Students: Pl try to enroll in Basic Biology like Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiol. etc. at your undergraduate level. Dont go after the fancy terms and spoil your career.
good luck am |

Dear friend,
Both Genetic Engineering and B.Tech Biotech are different. Genetic is related to gene's, like research on new genes. Bio tech is related to bio technology like research on new medicines. All the best. |

Genetic engg. comes under the biotech field.you can choose this field as a specialisation in your M.Tech programme.
But in graduation level your degree will be B.tech biotech. |

Re: BTech Genetic Engineering and BTech Biotech :Are they both different?
dear
bio tech is the mother of genetic engineering. studying genetics without the knowledge of Bio tech is like learning words and sentences without knowing alphabets so better know whats Bio tech in B tech and can have specialization in GE at master level / M tech thanking you Anup Arjun [email protected] |

Re: BTech Genetic Engineering and BTech Biotech :Are they both different?
Hi.
Yeah Genetic Engineering and B Tech in Biotech are completely different fields but somehow related to each other as both are technical courses in the Medical field. Genetic engineering deals with the experiments on humans, insects, rabbits, frogs, lizards, and its basically the study about how humans have evolved from over the time, due to change in our genes. This is just a basic introduction about the course, of course its much more complex that it seems in the definition. Whereas Biotech deals with the machines, equipment's , and the technical instruments. Its biological technology's. |
