b tech student in computer science and engineering can write net exam please give reply as soon as possible

B.tech/B.E. candidate does'nt required to write CSIR-UGC-NET.

CSIR has a special criteria for that.B.tech/B.E. candidates can directly persue P.hd with JRF from CSIR.

If he/she had appeared for GATE and must have valid and Very good GATE score.

This is a special criteria which CSIR has for B.tech students.Which ia popular with the name GATE-JRF.The candidate will b given oppurtunity to persue P.hd directly from IIT's or IISC or NIT's or other institutes of national importance.

The eligible candidates will recieve call letter which is known as "Award letter" from the Director of CSIR laboratories.

you can apply for NET exam but before that you must have at least 55% marks.and you must be concerned with computer science and other related streams like IT .then only you can sit for it.

i m mtech in computer science engineering.csir is net for science subjects. i want to know comp sc. comes in which type of science because there r chemistry, physics,life sc.,chemical sc.,etc.

you dont need to write in csir.ugc.net exam
.......but if you want to apply the you eed to score 50% in your graduation

Don't confuse Computer is not the science which is related to Chemistry and physics and math etc.

Computer is a different field from these fileds.

But CSIR are scientific research council.they recirute only physicst,chemist,mathematicians.

Through NET exam you can take seat in PHD easily.

You can join the post of proffesor directly through NET exam.

If you want then first do M.TECH.

The qualification for UGC-NET exam is master degree.

for NET you need to be a post graduate at first. not only that you should have 55% marks in you masters.

Can MCA student write NET in Management if the peson wishes to pursue his Phd in that area?

in upsc pre exams have two papers..if some one clears that than what is the next procedure?

no, b.tech (c.s.e) eligible ugc net but not csir net.for every sub post graduate required but not for cs.

I am 4th Sem M.Tech Student in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems (E&CE) and I will be Submitting my Project in June 2011 but my final viva dates for external comes in the month of sept-oct. Sir my Question ,
1) Can I appear for NET exam in JUNE ,2011.
2) Syllabus for my Stream(I am B.E in E&CE & M.Tech in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems)

I did B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in year 2010 and scored 59% then I did PG-Diploma course in Information Systems and Cyber Security from C-DAC with 76.37% score. I appeared for GATE in year 2010 and scored 84.89 percentile. I also authored a research paper which got published in an International conference. Am I eligible for JRF? Can someone tell me how should I apply for it?
