It is a common mistake among 10+2 students that only Science stream students can apply for Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA) course. However this is competely incorrect. Commerce stream students like yourself can also apply for BCA.

Yes sure you are eligible to take admission in the BCA course. If you are thinking to get admission in the government college then the admission will be through your 12th class percentage or cut of marks list. If you are planning to get admission in the private college then sure you will get admission. The marks in your 12th class should be more than 60%. It is possible for you to do BCA(Bachelor in Computer Applications).It is a wide mistake done by students that they think that BCA could only be done by the science students.It has, infact ,many subjects of commerce right from the beginning.
Its great if you opt for BCA but you do some side course with it.You can do GNIIT from NIIT(private institute) which provides a two year course and also provides placement opportunities.It is best if you choose BCA because if you are interested to get into an IT company you would get a great help if you do these courses simultaneously.

Further,if you don't want to go for NIIT,you can do MCA(Masters in Computer Applications) after the completion of BCA.It will also provide you great placement opportunities.

I am a commerce, accountancy,economics,computer science group student i am elgible for Bca or not?
