NDA stands for National Defense Academy.NDA Examination are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. The minimum qualification is 12th class.

NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:

• Indian Army
• Indian Navy
• Indian Air Force

Eligibility Criteria:

>>> The candidate must have to pass 12th class from a recognized university.

>>> And the final year of 12th class students also to apply for this NDA Examination.

>>> The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years.

>>> The candidate must be unmarried male person and medically fit.

>>> The candidate must be citizen of India.

Yes, a Commerce student can join Indian Army after 12th through appearing for the NDA entrance exam.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good physical fitness.

The selection is through written test followed by personal interview along with physical fitness and Medical Test.

You can join after 12th standard in Indian Army through NDA exam.But you must fulfill the below given criteria.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy .This exam is conducted by UPSC twice time in a year.

Those candidate have completed 12th standard with science ,arts ,commerce departments are applicable for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.There are no age relaxation criteria for SC/ST criteria.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.Also you must have citizenship of India.

If you want to join Indian army after graduation degree then you have a option for CDS exam.

CDS means Combined Defence Service exam which is conduct twice time in a year through SSB.

UPSC conduct CDS exam .IMA department is a part of CDS exam so if you have cleared the CDS exam then you are applicable for IMA exam.

CDS Educational Qualifications :
1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age-limits:

19-24 Years Indian Military Academy
19-22 Years Naval Academy
19-23 Years Air Force Academy
19-25 Years Officers’ Training Academy

I am pleased to inform that you are eligible to join Indian Army after passing 12th in Commerce stream.

After 12th, you can join National Defence Academy for which you have to appear in NDA entrance test conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

NDA entrance occurs for two times in a year. These exam are held as NDA I & NDA II.

Syllabus & Pattern of NDA exam 2012:

There will be written Examination for total of 900 marks in two Subjects

1. Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs.
2. General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs.

The papers in both the subjects will consist of objective type questions only.

Yes friend a commerce student can join INDIAN ARMY after 12th class by appearing in the exams called NDA which stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY and after this exam there will be one SSB interview and One medical test.

This test is conducted every year twice is conducted in the month of April and October.

->There is also some Eligibility criteria to appear in the exams of NDA.

1)You should be a citizen of INDIA.

2)You should have done your 12th class from a recognized board.

3)A student appearing for the 12th class exams is also eligible to appear for the exams.

4)Your age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

6)You must be a male and unmarried candidate.

7)If you wanted to join INDIAN NAVY or INDIA AIR FORCE then you can only apply for it if you have taken PHYSICS and MATHEMATICS as subjects in 11th and 12th class.

Dear friend a commerce graduate can apply for services in defense

there two types of entry

1.) after completion of 12th

The required age limit that a candidate should possess to be eligible for NDA Exam is 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

There is no relaxation in upper age limit at all for the candidates of any category.


Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this Exam.

As per required academic qualification,
-One should have completed 12th class with any of the stream to be eligible for this Exam.

-But it is must that one should have gone through Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects in 12th class to apply for Navy and Air Force wings.

you have to apply and crack CDS (Combined Defense Service) examination conducted by UPSC

After you clear out the CDS exam you will be called for SSB/SSC camp which of duration of 8 to 12 days

This Entrance Exam will let the candidates to be placed in the following defence services
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing

Here in camp you have to clear some more examinations like
1.) screening test which includes aptitude test
2.)Group test, here a group of candidates are given some task to complete
3.)story writing
4.)Intelligence test
5.)Group discussions
6.)Interview ETC
When clear these you will under go medical test, after clearing medical test you will selected on all India merit

age limit is 20yrs to 25 yrs

Sorry to say this , after +2 commerce you are not eligible for Indian army , If you are interested to join Indian army then you have to complete your graduation after that you can apply for CDS exam or many more exam which is held through UPSC.

After passing 12th you can join Indian Indian Army...
For this you have to qualify the N.D.A exam...

N.D.A is National Defence Academy...
N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year..

For N.D.A you age limit should be in between 16.5-19 Year..
There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Yes you can apply for the Indian army after completing your class 12th .If you want to Join army then you have to appear for the NDA exam which is conducted by the UPSC twice a year to select students for ARMY,NAVY and Air force.You can apply for all three fields if you are eligible for the exam.The Notification for the NDA I 2012 exam is already been declared.

Eligibility ::

You should be between 16.5 years to 19 years for all three fields

For ARMY ::
You should have passed your class 12th in any streams .

For NAVY and AIR FORCE ::
[You should have passed your class 12th with physics and maths as a compulsory subjects.
