The very first thing I would like to mention is that there is no percentage criteria to apply for the NDA exam, which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
Now, the NDA exam is conducted for admission to the National Defense Academy. The Academy provides necessary training to candidates willing to join Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
For Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, you must have qualified the higher secondary examination with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
Since you are from commerce background, you may only apply for the Army Wing of the National Defense Academy.

There is no scene of percentage requirement in NDA application, so on the basis of that you are eligible and do not worry

Now look at the points below..

Eligibility criteria For Army Wing of NDA:-

Candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Other criteria:

1. The candidate should be between 16-1/2 to 19 years of age

2. Your marital status should be single.

3. You should be a citizen of India.

So if you fulfil the criteria, you are eligible for NDA.

The last date of application for NDA in 2012 is 30th Jan, 2012.

HI!
I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for N.D.A after passing 12th wit commerce stream.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

The age limit for N.D.A exam is 19-24 year.

For N.D.A exam you have to pass the 12th with any steam.

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

IMPORTANT DATES FOR N.D.A. & N.A. EXAM.(II), 2012
Date of Notification:-05.05.2012
Last date of receipt of form:- 04.06.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:-19.08.2012 (SUNDAY)

There is no provision for any percentage of marks criteria for application to NDA.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream form a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good Physical Fitness.

Those candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th can be eligible to apply for all three wings of NDA but those having without above subjects can only be eligible to apply for Indian Army wing of NDA.

As you are interested you can only be eligible to apply for Indian Army as a candidate from Commerce stream.

Any stream student can apply in National Defense Academy irrespective of the marks in 12th.

It is just that you must have done/passed your 12th from recognized board.

Although you are applicable to apply in ARMY only as for apply in AIR FORCE and in NAVY

you must have done 12th with subjects like PHYSICS and MATHS.

Student should be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old to apply for this exam.


Selection Procedure

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages :

• A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission

• An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ).

• A medical examination by a Service Medical Board.
(you should be physically fit and you be able to fulfill the minimum physical fitness requirement set by service medical board for students applied for NDA)
