you need to fulfill these criteria in order to enroll yourself for civil serivice examination.

->you should complete your degree or atleast be in the last year of your degree course.
->you should at least have 21 years of age and should not exceed 30 years of age.

if you can fulfill this criteria then you can enroll for Civil service exam.

yeah there is no bar of your discipline in B.Tech degree . you may be of any discipline.
Don't keep any tensions regarding this you are perfectly eligible as a B.Tech ECE student.

Sorry, You are not eligible for Civil Service Exam as you are in 2nd year of your B.Tech study.

For Civil Service Exam the minimum qualification should be Beecher Degree in any stream of education.

you should be within the age of 21 to 30 years of age so after completion or in the final year of completion of your B. Tech education you can appear for Civil Services Examination.

NO, 2nd year student not eligible for UPSE examination,
UPSE every year conducted a CIVIL SERVICE EXAM and ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM for a candidate having a graduate in engineering,



Eligible qualification: a candidate having a degree of any stream in recognized university and final year student/ last semester of engineering student eligible for appearing for examination.

age criterial : a candidate should be 21 to 30 year.
(b) The upper age limit prescribed above
will be relaxable :
SC/ST candidate : 5 year
OBC:3 year.
Ex-serviceman : 5 year
Physical disable : 10 year

So, after completing your degree with ECE, you can apply for civil service exam and engineering service exam also.

The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility condition for admission to examination. Commission take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for interview/Personality Test.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Service Exams

According to the UPSC guidelines..a candidate must satisfy the following criterion to appear for the Civil Service Exam :-

1) You need to be a graduate or a final year graduation student in any stream from a recognized college..

2) You should be in the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts allowed for the general category is 4,for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

Exam Pattern :-

There are 2 rounds for clearing this exam

1) Prelims :- This round..also known as Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT) has 2 objective papers which will test your general knowledge,current affairs and aptitude..

2) Mains :- If you clear the Prelims,then you shall qualify for the Mains where you will face nine papers..where your knowledge of your graduation subjects shall be tested..

If you clear both the rounds..you shall be called for the interview and the final selection..

some age relaxation for sc-5 years

I am pursueing my final B.tech(ECE) ,how con i prepare for civil s along with parllel coaching in IBPS, as it easea the first paper of exam
