Information Regarding IES Examination.

I think that MCA student are not eligible for the IES examination. IES examination is conducted by the UPSC in every year. To appear in the IES examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification = Engineering degree in any one of the following branch :
->Electrical Engineering.
->Electronics & Communication Engineering.
->Civil Engineering.
->Mechanical Engineering.

OR

MSC degree or equivalent with wireless communication, electronica, radio physics or radio engineering as a special subject.

Age Limit = The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

elgibility for ies which is conducted by upsc every year is engg graduate or msc and age 21 to 30 as u r mca ur not elgible.for more detail on www.upsc.gov.in

Age limits :-

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must have not attained the age 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination.

Upper age limits relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.

So,according to the eligibility criteria you are not eligible to apply for this examination.

MCA department are not eligible for IES exam.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in onece time in year.

If you have completed engineering dicipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam
1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departmenta as exam.

the age limit exist for this exam 21-30. there are 5& 3 years of relaxation are given to the SC\ST & OBC candidates,

Any graduate candidate can appear for IES examination.

Criteria :

a)You should have graduation or equivalent
b)Age should lie between 21 to 30 years.

Hello friend,
For Engineering Service Exam, you must hold a degree in engineering.

The examination is conducted in four groups of engineering:
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

As you have not mentioned about your bachelors degree program and since you are pursuing MCA, it is not considered an eligible degree for engineering service exam.
Apart from holding a degree in engineering, you must be within the age limit of 21-30 years.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service

You cannot apply for the IES exam after doing MCA degree as you don't satisfy the education qualification for the IES Exam.

IES Exam is of the exam which is conducted every year by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)

Regarding the qualification for the IES exam,candidates need to satisfy all the criteria's and they are:

Eligibility for IES:

> Candidate appearing for the exam must have a citizenship in India

> Candidate must have a age limit of 21-30 years for General category.

> There is a upper age relaxation for candidates who are from SC/ST and OBC candidates.

> Regarding the education qualificaiton for the IES exam,candidates who have done their degree in Engineering/Technology in departments:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communications Engineering

are only eligible for the IES exam.

> Even final year candidates who are writing their final degree exam can also apply for the IES exam.
