Re: Can I appear NET examination after M.Tech. in ECE?
Basically the purpose of appearing for the NET exam is to enter into the field of teaching. Also those interested in the research field need to appear for this exam along with the JRF exam. It has now become mandatory to receive the UGC pay scale the candidate should have cleared the NET exam. Any candidate who has completed the Masters course can appear for the exam. So you are eligible provided you select the subjects based on Masters degree.

Re: Can I appear NET examination after M.Tech. in ECE?
The NET or the National Eligibility Test is conducted by the The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) for lectureship and awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.
As you are pursuing MTech hence i would like to inform you that if you are going to appear for the qualifying Master's Degree exam then only you stand eligible. Such candidates will be provided provisional admission and considered eligible for lectureship only if they pass the Master's degree exam with 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PH/VH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified. You may check detailed eligbility, application procedure, previous papers from the following link: http://www.ugcnetonline.in/notification.php It contains all the details as you require. |
