Can I appear for RTO exam if I am a student of 3rd year mechanical engineering
Hi. I am a student of third year mechanical engineering. Can I appear for rto exam..?

Regional Transport Office:
You must have graduate from a recognized university with minimum of 50% marks. Age is less than 21-30 years. Post available are: Judicial Service Clerk Post Sub-Assistant Engineer For Judicial Post you must have complete degree course in Law age less than 21-32 years. For Clerk:You should be complete 12th exam age less than 18-35 years. For Sub-Assistant:A degree in Engineering Of any stream like Civil/Mechanical/Electrical age not more than 31 years Selection process: Written Test Interview. |

Yes, you will be eligible to apply for RTO exam but after completing your B.Tech. degree.
RTO stands for Regional Transport Officer. State Public Service Commission conducts examination to make recruitment for the post of RTO . Recruitment in RTO is made for following three posts : *Clerk post *Sub Assistant engineer post *Judicial service Post RTO Clerk Eligibility : -The candidate should have passed 12th class in any discipline from a recognized central or state board. -The age limit to apply for the post should be in between 18 years to 37 years. RTO Sub Assistant Engineer Eligibility : - The candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical ). -The age limit to apply for the post should be from 23 years to 32 years. RTO Judicial service eligibility: - The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university. -The age limit to apply for the post should be in between 23 years to 34 years. Selection Procedure : Preliminary Examination Main Examination. Interview. |

No.you can not apply for RTO exam as you have not completed mechanical engineering.You can apply for RTO Exam after passing B.E.(Mechanical).RTO Exam is conducted by each state public service commission.
Eligibility - You must have passed bachelor In Engineering with Mechanichal/Automobile field. - Age must be between 21 to 30 years of the examination year. A candidate must have done his or her degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks. Age 21- 30 years. Relaxation of 5 years is given to SC/ST and 3 years to OBC candidates. Question paper will have two sections: General Paper Optional Paper |

RTO stands for the Regional Transport Officer.
For Sub Assistant Engineer: Candidate must be in final year of engineering or completed the bachelor's degree in engineering. Third year candidates of mechanical engineering are not eligible for the exam. You can apply for the exam next year when you will be in final year. |

Sorry, you are not eligible to apply for RTO exam right now, but you can apply for RTO exam in next year(When you are in final year of your Engineering degree).

*Keep an eye on your state Public Service Exam. However, there is no direct recruitment as RTO. You can apply for IMV or ARTO posts which are of Group B under state Govt. and the State Public Service Commission conduct exams for these. You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Automobile Engg. |
