hello sir,myself shikha shukla i m a student of std 12 giving the exam of sciece stream. can i apply for indian airforce.wht is the proceddure..... of ii.which application forms should i fill up. plz tell me sir

Yes, you can apply for Indian Air Force after 12th through NDA.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having appear for the final 12 exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Central/State Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good physical fitness, is eligible to apply for NDA.

As you are interested for Indian Air Force, you should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th in order to apply for Indian Air Force wing of NDA.

You can also apply for IAF after completion of Graduation with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics through AFCAT(Air Force Commo Admission Test) and UES(University Entry Scheme).

Yes. You are eligible to join Air Force after completion of 12th class with Science stream. No problem at all even though you are a candidate appearing for final year exams of 12th class.

For this, you need to crack NDA Exam which is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

One can join in the following defence services by cracking this exam
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing

To be eligible for NDA Exam to join Navy and Air Force wings, one should have completed 12th class with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of 12th class are also eligible to appear for this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in 12th class when they appear for Interview.

Check yourselves that you should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years to be eligible for this exam.

Airforce after 12th it is possible ,but after 12th you go for air force vrious position you
choose which position is good for you.

*After 12th candidate give entrance exam like NDA

For this exam Age- 16.5 to 19 years

Minimum qualification is 12th science with math,Physics,Chemistry as subjects.

This exam is applicable only for Men.

Yes you can join surely to I.A.F. ( Indian Air Force ) after 12th. As you are studying in 12th. So I think at first complete it then join to I.A.F. and it will be beneficial to you also. Besides this your percentage is till now is so good that you can get a good job in IAF after B.Tech.

There are generally three branches and for these three branches there are three different eligible criteria.The three department are :

1. Flying Branch,
2. Technical Branch,
3. Ground Duty Branch.

The selection procedure are consist of two types which are :

1. AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) and
2. Air Force Selection Boards(AFSB) .

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 july 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/6 in another eye

After passing 12th class you eligible only for Army Wing test.

Now, Look at the eligibility criteria of NDA Examination

• For Army Wing of NDA
12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school Education, or equivalent.

• For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at Naval Academy
