I have 64.8% in B-tech...can i apply for SAIL for the position of management trainee ??

Dear Friend

To become eligible to appear for SAIL Management Trainee exam one should have
at least 65% in B.E./B.Tech.

Therefore, you are not eligible for SAIL MT Exam.

You can apply for CIL MT exam next year.
For CIL, you are eligible because the eligibility criteria is 60% only.

friend for applying in sail as mgmt. trainee u have to secure 65% marks in b.tech even 64.8% will not suffice hence u can't apply for sail exam but there are many psu exam where the cut-off is lower than 65% so u can sit for those exams. also u have not mentioned your category u might get a relaxation if u happen be from the reserved category.

you cannot apply for management trainee(technical) because minimum percentage required is 65% for general candidates and 55% marks for sc/st/pwd .BUT you can apply for management trainee(admin.) with 2 years full time MBA with 60% marks in both.

u can also try managament trainee (admin.) as well, as minimum marks required is 60% in graduation and 60% in MBA (full time ) in HR/PM&IR/Per for marketting discipline.
