Can I apply for UPSC exam with 54% in graduation?
Hi,
I have completed Graduation with 54%, am i eligible to apply for upsc examination?? Thanks & Regards, Dheeraj. |

Hi!
Yes of course you can apply for civil services exam conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criteria for civil services exam is as follows: Educational qualification - Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized university/institute. Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination (called CSAT). Yes you are eligible for UPSC exams because wants the candidate must be any Graduate degree holder from any government recognized university with the age limit between 21 to 30 years(relaxation for Backward caste). So, are eligible for UPSC exams. Good day..... |

Yes you can surly apply as only graduation required.There is no cutoff.
What matters here is that your age should be fall between the range mentioned by upsc for the examination you are applying for. |

Dear,
No, you cannot apply for UPSC exam with 54 % marks in graduation because in UPSC exam, minimum educational eligibility is graduation in any stream with 60 % marks from a regonised institute / university. Age Limit is 21 to 30 years. Good Luck |

Since you are a graduate, you are eligible for the following examinations: Civil Service Exam Central Police Force Exam CDS Exam (You must belong to science background or have done engineering to apply for Naval Academy and Air-Force Academy through CDS Exam) |

Hi Dheeraj,
There are various examinations which are conducted by UPSC, as you have not mentioned about which exam you want be appear in, but according to your qualification you are eligible for UPSC Civil Services Exam, CDS Exam, CPF (AC) Exam... For any Exam conducted by UPSC in which graduation is required as minimum educational qualification they do not require marks obtained in graduation, only pass in graduation is required. Of Course, you can apply for the UPSC exam. Graduates in any discipline can apply for the UPSC exam. A pass in the qualifying exam is enough for the test. UPSC conducts the test for the recruitment of IAS, IPS, IFS and in many other civil services. The tests are carried out annually.

Yes off course you can apply for upsc exams because there is no any boundary condition regarding percentage of marks in graduation .just you need is the graduation degree and you already have the graduation degree so, you are eligible .
for latest dates of upsc exam visit the official website of upsc that is http://www.upsc.gov.in regularly or read employement news regularly. the number of attempts are however limited so ,prepare accordingly. |

Minimum educational qualification required to appear for IAS [Indian Administrative Service] exam is a graduation from a recognized university. So as soon as you finish you final year B.Sc. exams, your preparation should start. A good preparation takes at least 18 to 24 months before you appear for examination.

Number of attempts 5. Restrictions on applying for the examination 6. Physical Standards 1. Nationality: For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India. 2. Age Limits 1. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2010, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989. 3. Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. 4. Number of attempts: Every candidate appearing at the Civil Services Examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted four attempts at the examination. 5. Restrictions on applying for the examination: A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination. 6. Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination. 2010 as per guidelines given in Appendix-III of Rules for Examination published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 2nd Jan, 2010. Yes of course.Don't worry there is a no minimum Percentage for IAS Examination.And Those who have Graduate degree in any recognized university can apply for IAS Examination.And The candidates should have a minimum 21 yrs of age and maximum 30 yrs age.And The Upper age limit will applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
