I have completed Graduation with 54%, am i eligible to apply for upsc examination??

Yes of course you can apply for civil services exam conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility criteria for civil services exam is as follows:

Educational qualification - Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized university/institute.

Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination (called CSAT).

There is no minimum percentage requirement.

No, you cannot apply for UPSC exam with 54 % marks in graduation because in UPSC exam, minimum educational eligibility is graduation in any stream with 60 % marks from a regonised institute / university.

Since you are a graduate, you are eligible for the following examinations:

Civil Service Exam
Central Police Force Exam
CDS Exam

(You must belong to science background or have done engineering to apply for Naval Academy and Air-Force Academy through CDS Exam)

There are various examinations which are conducted by UPSC, as you have not mentioned about which exam you want be appear in, but according to your qualification you are eligible for UPSC Civil Services Exam, CDS Exam, CPF (AC) Exam...
For any Exam conducted by UPSC in which graduation is required as minimum educational qualification they do not require marks obtained in graduation, only pass in graduation is required. More details can be obtained from the official website of UPSC.

Of Course, you can apply for the UPSC exam. Graduates in any discipline can apply for the UPSC exam. A pass in the qualifying exam is enough for the test. UPSC conducts the test for the recruitment of IAS, IPS, IFS and in many other civil services. The tests are carried out annually.

Yes off course you can apply for upsc exams because there is no any boundary condition regarding percentage of marks in graduation .just you need is the graduation degree and you already have the graduation degree so, you are eligible .

Yes you can.
Because, to sit in the exam you just have to be a graduate with any subjest.
And your age must be in between 21-30.(upper age reluxable for sc/st/obc/pd)..

1. Nationality:

For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.


2. Age Limits

1. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2010, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.


3. Minimum Educational Qualifications:

The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.



4. Number of attempts:

Every candidate appearing at the Civil Services Examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted four attempts at the examination.



5. Restrictions on applying for the examination:

A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination.


6. Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination. 2010 as per guidelines given in Appendix-III of Rules for Examination published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 2nd Jan, 2010.

Could you please mention in what have you completed your graduation? As that matters a lots.

Anyway coming to the point, I say, you can appear for the CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test.

The minimum educational qualification is a graduation degree as you have it, you can appear for the exam.There is no restriction on the percentage requirement.


Also, if you are and engineering graduate, then you can apply for the Engineering Service examinations as well.

There is no such provision that you will require first class graduation in civil services.
They just require a bachelor's degree in any stream, and your age should satisfy the age limit i.e. from 21 to 30 yrs.

Yes of course.Don't worry there is a no minimum Percentage for IAS Examination.And Those who have Graduate degree in any recognized university can apply for IAS Examination.And The candidates should have a minimum 21 yrs of age and maximum 30 yrs age.And The Upper age limit will applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

yes dheeraj u can apply for upse examination
the eligible criteria for 21 to 30 and age relaxation also.
Required qualification for upse is graduate with any stream with 45% .

Yes you are quite eligible for the UPSC's graduate level examination.There is no specific marks criteria cited for the examination.
To apply for the UPSC's examination a candidate must be a graduate in any stream.The age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years.

Yes , You are eligible for UPSC exam. Because there is no criteria for marks.

Those candiadte have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for UPSC exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In UPSC exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candiadte is 3years and for SC/ST candiadte is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candiadte is Unlimited. For OBC candiadte it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of india.

The UPSC selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminay exam
2)Main exam
3)Interview.
