Eligibility For UPSC Exams

Since you haven't exactly mentioned the name of the UPSC Exam to which you are referring to hence, I am assuming that you are talking about the Civil Service Exams which is conducted every year by the UPSC for becoming an IAS,IPS, Foreign Service Officer,etc

For appearing in the Civil Service Exams, you need to have the following minimum eligibility criterion :-

1) The candidate must be within the age limit of

21-30 years if belonging to general category
21-33 years if OBC
21-35 years if SC/ST

2) The candidates must have also cleared their graduation in any stream from a recognized University..

3) The maximum number of attempts applicable for the general candidates is 4, for OBC its 7 and there is no restriction on the number of attempts for the SC/ST/PD candidates

If you have not exhausted all your attempts then you are certainly eligible for appearing for the exam provided that you have done your graduation from a recognized University..

The Prelims will consist of 2 objective papers and shall be conducted on the 20th May,2012

The Mains shall consist of 9 papers testing your overall graduation knowledge and English as well..

The paper pattern for the IAS Mains is given in the attachments..

The Mains shall be conducted on 5th October,2012..

Yes, you can appear for almost most of the UPSC exam which you can take after graduation as the age limit is from 21 years to 30 years,upper age is further relaxed for OBC by 3 years

and relaxation is also there for ex service men.

IAS exam is carried out by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and constitutes two stages:

- there is no cut off of marks in graduation to apply for IPS exam .

-Preliminary Examination

- it comprises of multiple choice questions and is also a qualifying exam for appearing into second exam.

The Main Examination.

- it comprises a written exam and an interview.

UPSC Exam you mean perhaps Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment in the top Administrative post under Central Govt. such as IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc.

You are definitely eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam at the age of 27 yeas.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years, is eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam.

Age limit for General Candidate is 21 to 30 years which the upper age relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH candidate and up to 3 years for OBC candidate.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.A.S exam at the age of 27 year.
After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 20 Rs.
