The Union Public Service Commission is an authorized central agency which able to conduct Civil Service Examination for placing the aspirants in different civil services.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

The desired qualification that every appearing candidates need to fulfill is to be a graduate in any subjects from a recognized and affiliated university of India. The appearing candidates must be citizen of India. The age limit of the candidates is in between 21-30 years of age. The upper age relaxation for SC/ST students is 5 years and for OBC candidates the relaxation is of 3 years.

Scoring and negative markings:

The marks given to each question is not same. Marks are indicated on the right side of every question. There is no negative scoring on any questions asked from this paper.

Mode of exam:

The Union Public Service Commission Mains Pali Papers exam is generally based on pen/pencil.

Format:

There are two examinations are under the UPSC, one is preliminary and other is mains. The mains examination is basically a subjective based paper and deals with the long answer type questions.

Paper pattern:

The UPSC Mains Pali Paper I hold a total of two main parts under which all the questions are distributed. There are a total of four questions present in both the parts. The 1st and 5th questions are compulsory for all the candidates and any three questions from rest of the questions and one should need to select atleast one question from each part.

Markings:

The UPSC Mains Pali (Paper I) Papers holds maximum of 300 marks.

Schedule:

The appearing candidates need to attempt all the questions within the time span of three hours.
