Its strange that you have completed bachelor's degree in commerce and now you want to do bachelor's degree in engineering. For any undergraduate course of engineering in any stream you must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

As you have mentioned that you had completed bachelor's degree in commerce in 1996, you must be over age for the various entrance examinations like JEE, VITEEE etc. But you can take admission in private engineering colleges under management quota seats.

These seats are totally under management of the college and admission is done on these seats on the basis of percentage of marks scored in PCM subjects. From my point of view, Master's degree in commerce will be better for you so that you can apply for the National Eligibility Test to become lecturer.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
