Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
No you won't get admission for the Final course of the Chartered Accountancy after completing Bachelor of Commerce. As per the new rules of ICAI, graduates are only given exemption from appearing for the Common Proficiency Test.
There is no further exemption for graduates or post graduates. Common Proficiency Test is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. You can apply for this course either after completing 12th or graduation. After completing 12th standard it becomes necessary to first appear for the Common Proficiency Test. However those who have completed graduation can get exemption if: They have scored 55 percent marks in commerce graduation. At least 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation. Therefore if you manages to complete graduation course with 55 percent only then you will be eligible to take direct admission for the IPCC. Otherwise it will become necessary to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. Common Proficieny Test consists 4 subjects. They are divided into 2 groups. You must score 30 percent marks in each group to clear the test. 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude After the Common Proficiency Test you will get admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course. After clearing the first group of exams in IPCC, you can take admission for the 3 years articleship and when you clear the second group of IPCC and only 6 months have left to complete Articeship, you can appear for the Final course. |

Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
Dear Friend,
You must clearly note that there is no method or any way to apply directly to the CA you must have to pass through all the steps prescribed by ICAI. Now,But as you have completed your graduations that is B.Com you can apply directly to the Intermediate Course without undergoing through the Foundation Course and CPT Examinations,Since,This Exemptions is given by ICAI for Graduates. After completing your Full Intermediate course then only you will become eligible for applying to the further course that is for CA Course. You must also note that after the completions of Intermediate you have to Complete your Computer Training. While,That for General Candidate the minimum eligibility criteria for CA Course is that you must have completed your 10+2 Board Examinations and you must have attempted CPT Examinations and also passed in order to become Eligible for Foundations Course and then at last by completing their Foundation Course they become eligible for Intermediate. So,Just apply for Intermediate and then go directly to apply for CA Course. You may also visit to the ICAI Site in order to clear your rest all queries regarding the steps through which you have to go for in order to become CA:- http://www.icai.org |

Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
If you have completed B.Com with 50% marks then you can apply for CA IPCC directly.
If you don't have 50% marks in B.Com then you have to give CPT and pass it with qualifying marks to become eligible for CA IPCC. After clearing CA IPCC you will be eligible for CA Final. Hence you can not apply for CA final directly after B.Com. You can only apply for CA IPCC directly, So prepare for IPCC and apply for it if you satisfy the eligibility criteria. Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
CA course is conducted in 3 stages:
>> CPT >> IPCC >> FINAL Commerce Graduates needs to score minimum aggregate of 55% marks in B.COM to get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams. A candidates can get exemption from giving the CPT exams if he/she has studied atleast 3 papers from the below list of papers. Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management including Financial Management, Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc., Costing, Business Administration, Management Accounting So after passing B.COM and if you meet the above conditions you can get exemption from CPT stage only and you have to first clear the IPCC stage and than you can give the CA Final exams |

Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
hi,
you have to pass a number of examinations in order to complete Chartered accountancy course. the procedure to become a chartered accountant can be discussed as follows: 1)CPT(Common proficiency test)- This is an objective examination and there are four sections in the exam that are fundamentals of accountancy, economics, mercantile law, etc. 2)IPCC(Integrated professional competence course)- This is the second stage where you are required to clear seven subjective papers for example financial management, cost accounting, accountancy group 1, accountancy group 2, etc. 3)CA Final exam- This is the final exam, but before that you are required to complete three years of article hip training under a chartered accountant practicing in India. All the best.................. |

Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
Dear Friend,
No you cannot give the CA Final Exam after completing the B.Com. If any candidate has completed graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks , then you can directly get admission in CA IPCC Course. After that you have to complete the IPCC Course completing which you can go for the CA Final. However , if you have not a minimum of 50% marks in B.Com , then you have to appear for the CPT [Common Proficiency Test] and have to crack it so that you can get admission. So , just ensure that whether you have the minimum required marks or not. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Can I directly give CA final year after completing B.Com?
Hai friend
No,you cannot directly go for CA-IPCC course after completing B.Com.The candidates who completed their graduation with 55% in Commerce stream or 60% in non commerce stream need not attempt Common Proficiency Test and can join in CA-IPCC course. After the completion of IPCC course then you can go for your final CA course after the completion of three years articleship training under chattered accountant practicle in india. So,if you have completed your B.Com with 55% then you need not attempt CA-CPT exam and can join dirctly in the CA-IPCC course. Thank You |
