You can do Bsc (IT) provided you satisfy eligibility criteria. To do Bsc(IT) you must have passed 12th class with Maths as one of the subjects with aggregate 50% . Most of the colleges have different percentage criteria, very few take admission test too.

As for Colleges, there are many, good ones are in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad. Its because these cities have high demand for such graduates.

## Sophia College, Mumbai

B.sc(IT) course and prospectus:

It is a three year course. The course is basically focused on software, web design, databases & networking. Different institutes have different name for this course like:

Bachelor of Computer Science
Bachelor of Computing in Computer Science
Bachelor of Computer Security in Computer Science
Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science

After Bsc(IT) you can go for MCA, then it will be equivalent to engineering degree. You can also opt for MBA in IT.

So, please choose course as per your Interest, if you want to do B.sc IT then please take admission in this course in some good colleges.

It is a 3 years course and you can do this course after your 12th,
The admission in most of the colleges is based on the basis of marks obtained in 12th while some of the colleges admit students through entrance tests.
You should have studied PCM in your 12th if you want to pursue this course.
The career opportunities of this course are:-

2.Hardware.
3.Job as programmer.

Absolutely dear, you can definitely opt for B.SC IT. Also there can be two other choices which also are getting popular these days, B.Sc. honors in Physics and B.Sc. honors in Chemistry. Both are equally good as compared to IT. Also they have possibilities of applying for Scientist positions(only after completing PhD.). You can apply for IT jobs after doing B.Sc. in any of the category I mentioned. But for the latter 2 subjects HR positions will be more suitable and for B.Sc. IT technical and HR both positions are suitable. Also you can join advertising sectors after any of these courses. You can complete respective M.Sc. and apply for SSC to teach in government schools. There is job security and a good amount of salary. I hope I could give you some idea on your future.

I have taken pcm and not taken any IIT coaching in class 11th so should i take IIT coaching in 12th class or adopt any other career in scince and what are the other options for me? Please help me

-You can apply for this course in a good college. This course is very popular nowadays as computers are used by most of the people now in india.

Yes...you can do B. Sc IT after passing 12th science. But in some colleges they arrange an entrance exam for admission. First of all you have to score more than 60% in 12th final exam in order to appear in the entrance exam. So at first you should try to get more than 60% marks in the 12th exam. All the best...
