Re: Can I do CA course after passing B.Com?
It is possible to apply for Chartered Accountancy once you have completed Bachelor of Commerce. There is no such rule that only candidates who have completed 12th standard are eligible for the Chartered Accountancy course.
You can apply for the Chartered Accountancy course but the procedure may change depending whether you have completed 12th standard of gradaution. The procedure to apply for Chartered Accountancy is to clear the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). This exam can be given after completing 12th standard or having completed graduation. However there is a provision under which graduates do not have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. They are given exemption from appearing for the written test and instead they are allowed to apply for the IPCC which is second stage of the Chartered Accountancy course. Exemption Eligibility 1. A Commerce graduate should have at least scored 55 percent marks in graduation. 2. Non commerce graduate requires minimum of 60 percent marks. Since you are Bachelor of Commerce student, you will get exemption if completed graduation with 55 percent or more marks. Otherwise you will have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). The Common Proficiency Test has four sections that are mentioned below: 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude These four sections are divided into 2 groups. Score 30 percent marks in each group and you will clear the Common Proficiency Test. After that you can take admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC). |

Re: Can I do CA course after passing B.Com?
oh YES , you can do CA after BCOM,
if you fulfilled the conditions laid down by the ICAI... I M TELLING YOU THE WHOLE PROCEDURE , detailS about CA... There are 2 ways to take admission in CA.. 1. through CPT 2. through GRADUATION if you want to do CA after 12 then you have to go through CPT, AND if you first do GRADUATION , you will get one relaxation i.e you will directly get admission in IPCC( group-1) , you dont need to go through CPT... Now i m telling you the details about CA... There are 4 stages ... 1. CPT OR a graduation degree - minimum 55% required if you opt BCOM or BCOM(H) at graduation level. - minimum 60% required if you opt any other graduation course. 2. IPCC -2 -Paper 1:Accounting -Paper 2:Law, Ethics and Communication -Paper 3:Cost Accounting and Financial Management -Paper 4:Taxation 3. IPCC-2 -Paper 5: Advanced Accounting (100 marks) Paper 6: Auditing and Assurance (100 marks) Paper 7: Information Technology and Strategic Management » Section A: Information Technology (50 marks) » Section B: Strategic Management (50 marks) To pass a student has to obtain a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all the papers of both the groups together if attempting both the groups or all the papers of a single group, failing which the student has to reappear in all the papers of that group/groups again. THEN you have to go through 2.5 years of ARTICLESHIP in a COMPANY OR UNDER A REGISTERED CA... 4.FINAL Then after clearing all these steps you will be a CA... |

Re: Can I do CA course after passing B.Com?
Quote:
Yes, you can do CA course after B.com. A candidate can join CA course after intermediate and after graduation also. For an intermediate pass student, CPT exams are conducted, which are the entrance exam for CA course to join the foundation level. For a graduate candidate also, who has passed graduation with subjects other than commerce CPT exams are conducted. However B.Com. students are exempted from CPT exams and they can apply for IPCC exams for direct admission to intermediate level of CA course Eligibility to join IPCC ( CA programme ) – ( Exempted from CPT exams ) Candidate should be B.Com graduate with minimum 55% aggregate and should have studies atleast three of any of these papers in B.com – Accounting Auditing Mercantile laws Corporate Laws Economics Taxation Business Administration Financial management Management Accounting So, now you can apply for IPCC and enrol for intermediate level of CA course. |

Re: Can I do CA course after passing B.Com?
Yes surely can do CA course after B.Com. Graduation. So don't worry and apply for CA course.
First of all check your B.Com. Graduation percentage of marks. If you have scored above 55% marks then you can apply for CA IPCC without appearing for CPT. If the percentage of marks is below 55% in B.Com then you have to appear for CA CPT and after clearing only you will become eligible for CA IPCC. That means you can have advantage of B.Com only when you have score above 55% marks. CA IPCC Subjects : -Accounting -Business Laws, Ethics and Communication -Cost Accounting and Financial Management -Taxation -Advanced Accounting -Auditing and Assurance -Information Technology and Strategic Management For more information visit http://www.icai.org |

Re: Can I do CA course after passing B.Com?
Dear Friend,
The Acronym "CA" stands for Chartered Accountancy. Yes you can definitely pursue the Chartered Accountancy Course after the completion of your B.Com. First of all i want to clear you the complete path which most of the candidates have to follow to complete the CA Course : 1) CPT [Common Proficiency Test] 2) IPCC [Integrated Professional Competent Course] 3) Articleship 4) Final Exam Earler , all those candidates who have passed 12th ahve to appear for the Common Proficiency Test first and after passing that they can get the admission in the IPCC. But recently , the ICAI [institute Of Chartered Accountants Of India] has made some amendments in the procedure. Now , those candidates who have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college /university can directly get admission in IPCC without clearing the CPT under certain conditions. The Conditions are : 1) The candidate should have completed Graduation in commerce stream with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized college/university. OR, 2) The candidate should have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university with a minimum of 55% marks. So , Any candidate who wants to do the CA Course after completion of graduation have to fulfill any one of the below mentioned conditions to get admission directly into IPCC. Also a relaxation of 5% marks is given to those candidates who belong to Reserved Categories. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
