Hi, I have completed my 12th Board exams from Commerce stream. However, I am interested in Automobile Engineering. So, is it possible to do a degree course in Automobile Engineering as I am from Commerce background? Can't I do even Diploma in Automobile Engineering after passing 12th with Commerce?

The minimum education required for pursuing degree in engineering course in any trade/stream is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board of education. Students holding equivalent degree i,e; diploma in engineering degree course are also eligible.

So, having completed your Class 12th in commerce stream, you are not eligible for pursuing degree in Automobile engineering.

Yes, you can go for full time Diploma in Automobile engineering degree course of 3 years on the basis of your secondary school education i.e; Class 10th.
