Can I do IPS after passing 12th with commerce? Which degree do I have to obtain after 12th? Maximum marks required in 12th?
i am a student of class 11th and studying with commerce.i wanted to become an I.P.S so can i do I.P.S if i pass 12th from commerce? If yes so what degree i have to achive after passing 12th and how many maximum marks i have tn otain in 12th?

IPS exam is a civil service exam, which is conducted by UPSC every year.. To appear in IPS exam you have to first fulfill some requirement.. Eligibility for IPS:- 1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university. 2.The candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation. 3.No such percentage criteria is required.. 4.The candidate can also appear in IPS exam during the final year of graduation. 5.The candidate must be a citizen of India. Age eligibility:- 1.The age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. These are the eligibility criteria for the IPS exam.. So, you just go for any graduation course, in which you have more interest. After completion of graduation course you can appear in IES exam.. After passing 12th class you can not apply for the IPS exam. Now you should take admission in your interested course and complete graduation first then you will be eligible to apply for the IPS exam.
This exam is to be conducted by the UPSC every year so you can apply and get more information from the upsc website here www.upsc.gov.in. |

To be an IPS officer you have to go through IAS exam .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC .
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam - 1. Graduation from any recognized university . 2. Graduation in any discipline can apply . 3. Age limit = 21 to 30 years for general . 21 to 35 years for sc/st. 21 to 33 years for obc . 4. Number of permissible attempts = 4 times for general . 7 times for sc/st/obc. So it is not possible to join IPS after 12th .To be an IPS officer you have to complete your graduation first. So don't think too much and go for your graduation . Thank you |

Diploma Candidates are Not eligible for IPS (Indian Police Service).
>> If your aim is to become IPS Officer, then For this you must have to completed your Graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised University and You must have to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination. The examination was Conducted by UPSC every year and Firstly candidates need to crack the Preliminary examination Because only then they are eligible to sit in Main examination. The Preliminary examination are also Known as CSAT (Civil services Aptitude test), there are 2 Papers in this examination Both are of same marks and Both are Objective Type, But main examination are descriptive and you must have to choose a Optional Subjects According to the Graduation subjects. The examination was Held Every Year and For this Year Preliminary examination already Completed and Result was Not yet Declared, Main examination was Going to be Held Soon in October 2011. But Graduate candidates may apply for this examination in 2012, the schedule of Examination was Updated in the Official Website, And the Notification was Published in the Month of February in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Official website. The CSAT Examination Pattern Was Already Changed. But you are diploma Student, So you are Not eligible for UPSC Civil services examination. To join the Indian Police Service you should sit for the Civil services examination, conducted by UPSC every year.
It is held in 2 stages - preliminary and Main examination. The syllabus and pattern of preliminary examination is available in the UPSC website. After completing 12th exam you are not eligible to apply as for this examination you must be a graduate in any discipline form a recognized university. Final year Graduate are also eligible for this examination. Eligibility criteria: 1. Your age should be within 21 to 30 years. 2. There is no minimum percentage is required to apply. no, you are not eligible for IPS exam........ union public service commission conducts the exam for IPS for which the eligibility criteria is; qualification - a candidate should be graduate from any recognized university -a candidate as an appearing can also apply for the exam age limit -a candidate's age should be between 21-30 for general -for OBC upper age limit is 33 years -for SC/ST candidate upper age limit is 35 years number of attempts -for general-4 attempts -for OBC- 7 attempts -for SC/ST- no limits physical standard -Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm -Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. -Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. you can not appear in this examination till the completion of your graduation. as your spirit of serving the nation is really appreciable. the minimum eligibility for appear in this civil service examination, you must have at least graduation degree from a recognized college.what ever may be the stream is.. The age limit for this examination is , which is conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION),is 21-30 years,. there are 5 & 3 years for the age relaxation are applicable for the SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively. i.e. 21-33 years for the OBC(NON- CREAMY LAYER), candidates, 21-35 years for the SC\ST candidate, This civil service examination has three stages- 1.CSAT 2.MAINS, 3.INTERVIEW,. Exam pattern- No. of attempts- four for the general candidates, seven for the OBC candidates, no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates,. There is no marks required to become IAS you should go for art's because you can score more marks in that course and it is a fully theory part it will be easy to remember as you can score more than score in other score that to the people who wants to become IAS THEY should go to art's

IPS Exam Eligibility
IPS stands for Indian Police Service and for joining in this great organization, the candidates have to succeed in the civil service examination conducted by the union public service commission. The eligibility criteria for IPS civil service examination are given below: Age requirement: During the year of applying for the examination the candidate must have attained 21 years of age on 1st of August. So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. In the case of ex-servicemen an age relaxation of 5 more years is given. Educational qualification: The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Candidate who have completed their M.B.B.S., but not have completed the required internship during the time of submission of the application to the main examination will be provisionally admitted for the main examination. Physical qualification for IPS: Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. The physical standards are essential for IPS, which includes weekly run for 10kms in 60 minutes, rope climbing, horse riding, PT obstacles, etc… |

After 12th you may start preparation for IPS but can not be eligible to appear for the respective exam for IPS.
Only after Graduation you are eligible to apply for IPS and according to your interest you can complete your graduation in any discipline. IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer you have to appear for the Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having appeared for the final graduation degree exam or passed from any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years age. The upper age is relaxed for OBC category candidate up to 3 years and that for SC/ST/PH category up to 5 years, is eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam. There is no requirement of any percentage of marks for application to Civil Service exam. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT- Civil Service Aptitude Test- Preliminary exam which comprises of all objective tupe questions. Civil Service Main Exam. which comprises of all subjective type questions. Personal Interview. There are certain physical fitness criteria for those who is applying for IPS:- Height For male candidate -165cm and for female-150cm for general category and for SC/ST/OBC male the height should be 160cm and for female candidate-145cm. NDA ( National Defense Academy ) is the common wing for the entry into Indian Defense Services namely 1. Indian Army - Dheradun 2. Air Force - Hyderabad 3. Navy - Goa UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the common written exam for the entry into NDA services and this exam is conducted twice in a year. After qualifying the written exam you eill be having Group Discussions , Interview and Physical and Medical tests. Course Structure : The total period of the course is 4 years comprising of Education and Training period , first 3 years you will be having Education program you will be having Degree classes at the end of 3rd year you will be awarded with Degree certificate 4th year comprising of Training period and you will be sent to respective grounds for training as you mentioned in application form. Eligibility : Only MALE are eligible for NDA exam. Educational qualification : Army : you must have completed your 10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum percentage in any stream. Navy & Air Force : you must have completed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as your main subjects from any recognized board. Age Criteria : you must have minimum of 16 1/2 years and maximum of 19 years of age. So dude you cannot enter Air Force with your 10th Standard you have to complete you +2 so that you will be eligible for the exam. respected sir/mam i am anuj kumar and i am studing in class 11 without math's so what can i do after 12 for ips plz give me right instruction for ips and what percentage is required in 11th or in 12th if we taking commerce with out math's.
