Can I do PhD in English having qualified NET in Education?
Can we pursue PhD in English if we have cleared NET in Education because we are not opting for NET in English but Education. So, can PhD in English be pursued still after passing NET in Education?

In which subject you passed MA you are allowed to appear in NET on this subject. You cannot opt for other subject. When you have cleared NET in a particular subject, UGC allow you to pursue PhD for this subject. You are not allowed to choose other subject . It is totally against UGC norms. So you cannot pursue PhD in English while you have passed NET in Education.
