M.Tech stands for Master of Technology. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

There is very little possibility of getting National Institute of Technology after scoring 26.67 in GATE exam for master's degree in technology. If you belong to SC/ST category you have good possibility of getting seat in NIT.

Every year candidates belonging to general category need to score around 50 marks to get admission in NITs.
