After completing my polytechnic diploma course via jexpo can I get B.Tech / B.E. or equivalent degree ? Can I also Sit for other exams like WBJEE , AIEEEor IIt

No diploma courses are not equivalent to Btech courses , they are much more advanced , as diploma prepares you only for job, but tech covers theoritical as well as practical area.

Dear friend yes you can take admission in 2nd year if you want.........

but there is very hard eligibility criteria to take admission in WBJEE,AIEEE OR IIT.........

You can take lateral entry in these college but you can 't seat in that exam................

but you can take admission on the basis of marks and this is called lateral entry.................

Eligibility criteria for AIEEE exam:

• 12th standard with maths,physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects
• Age should be between 17 to 21 years

As you have not done the 12th standard you are eligible to write AIEEE entrance exam.

You can appear for state entrance exam for admission in engineering colleges.
so that you can continue you education from 2nd year onwards.

it is good that you are interested for higher studies in technical field, after diploma you can better understand the technical terms in the b.tech/b.e course.

Off course you can do B.Tech after doing polytechnic diploma through Jexpo. But u may not be able to sit for WBJEE,AIEEE etc competitive exams.

Yes, you may get admission in the 2nd year B.Tech after qualifying an entrance test of that institute. But you are not eligible to sit in WBJEE, AIEEE or IIT JEE.

After Polytechnic Diploma Course you can not be eligible for AIEEE or IIT-JEE as the minimum qualification for this entrance exam is 12th pass with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject within age group of 17 to 21 years.

You can appear for WBJEE entrance exam or other state engineering entrance test and may be admitted to 2nd year of B, Tech courses through lateral entry.

When JEXPO exam will held for the year 2012? From when the forms will be available? I've heard that it'll be available in the month of January 2012?

Dear student,

Since you had done polytechnic diploma, so you can directly take admission in 2nd year of B.Tech/B.E in private colleges of any state. But for that you will have to pass Lateral Entrance Exam that is conducted by State Government.
Note that you can't take admission directly in II year in Govt. Colleges like IIT, NIT, IIIT, etc.

For taking admission in Govt. Colleges, you will have to appear in IIT-JEE, AIEEE, MHT-CET, WBJEE, UPSEE, etc. If you qualified these exams with good ranks then you will surely get good govt. college.

Is the engineering after JEE and After Polytechnic Jexpo is same?

Whether Diploma and School studies of 12 th standard be done simultaneously through WBSCTE & ISC Board?
