Hi,

Electronics engineering is a stable and good branch from job perspectives. It has a good scope and is not affected by market trends. You can also enter into IT related jobs in case you which to after your Electronics engineering. Moreover courses like PLC, VLSI are good to add value to this course and get good job openings.

i did my b.e in mechanical with 66% aggregrate...now i am planning to joinfor mtech in industrial automation...is it good r bad,...do i get high salary packages like design engineers.............................

DCS PLC PAC RTU DDC SCADA HMI Instruments Sensors actuators Control Loops etc comes in field of industrial automation or CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING. CSE is an important part of any process, whether manufacturing remote telemetry petroleum or chemical. Generally people with instrumentation & control degrees work in this field.ECE graduates can work in programming but they dont have much background for instrumentation or control loops like PIDs which they need to learn on job.

Since the stream in which you specialised in 12th standard is not specified it is difficult to suggest a specific field. If you have pursued science with Mathematics then you can join the Merchant Navy field or you could become a pilot. Engineering, BCA, B.SC are also the options available. If Mathematics is not a subject of your choice then you can pursue MBBS, BDS etc. But after that you must pursue the Masters course too. If you from the commerce background then you can take up graduation. Along with that you can pursue CA, CS etc. If you are from Arts background then you can go in for graduation. After graduation in any of the streams you must take up Masters either in the same field or go in for a MBA. You need to decide which out these suits you the most.

There is a limited scope of EC in india. If you are a degree holder you have following options--
1.Post Graduation
2.A good company in private electronics field
3. RND(REsearch and development) Department
4. Give IES exam and get a higher post in government field

evey field have scope untill you r master in that field ....so dont worry and do whatever your mind say you will definetly get reward if you do like this....
