hi sir.....i got 2741 rank in eee gate 2013 and marks are 49.33 and i am obc candidate can i get mtech admission in iit madras or iit hydreabad or in any top nits

with such rank it difficult to get into IIT Madras. However, you do have a little chance at IIT Hyderabad.
You should try for various NITs. You do have good chance there.
or IF you are determined to do your M.Tech from IIT, then you should re appear for GATE next year with better preparation .

IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) are the top institutions to join technical related courses in India like B.Tech and M.Tech. These are the places where people become sharp in terms of subject knowledge and in the process of attaining other skills.

If your goal is to be placed in IITs, the rank that you have secured 2471 is not enough.

Minimum it should be below 1000.

To the best of my knowledge, as you are a candidate from OBC category, you need to have a rank around 500, then you will be easily placed in IIT Madras or IIT Hyderabad.

But it is sure that you will get admission in top college with this rank.

So, now you have to decide upon it. Either joining in a regular college with the rank that you got or preparing for GATE Exam for more one year and appearing it for the next year.

As this year is started, better to attend this exam in this year.

At least try to get good rank in this academic year itself by having strong preparation. Then you may get a chance to be placed in IITs.

There is no limit on the number of attempts for GATE Exam. You can take this exam as many times as you wanted.
