No, marks in the board examination only is not sufficient for your admission in any government medical college for your medical courses.
Yes the marks in the board examination is essential for your eligibility for different medical entrance examination but it is your performance in the entrance examination which decides whether you will get a seat in any government medical college for your medical courses at a reasonable cost. The main entrance examination which can provide you a seat in a good government medical college are AIPMT, AIIMS entrance examination, BHU-PMT and your State PMT. For all these the basic eligibility criteria required are same and are discussed below:- * You must have done your higher secondary school degree from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your main subjects with at least 50% aggregate ( for AIIMS it is 60% ) in each of the mentioned subject. * You must be an Indian resident with age lying in between 17 years to 25 years till the final date of the same year in which you are appearing in the examination.
