i do 12th exam direct and external.can i seat upsc exam?

Most of the examinations conducted by UPSC are for Graduates.
Very small no. of examinations are for 12th passed students.
These exams are

NDA & NA Examination.
It is conducted twice a year for defence services in all the three wings of defence
(Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force)

SCRA Examination
The Special Class Railway Apprentice examination is conducted by UPSC for
appointment in Indian Railway as Special Apprentice.

Yes, you can sit for UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) exam after 12th standard.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

SCRA-SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE exam conducted by UPSC for appointment of SCRA in the Mechanical Dept. of Indian Railways.

i want to tell you that you can give the test of NDA after 12th.
Because all other tests of UPSC are on the graduation based .
If you have completed your graduation then you are eligible for the NDA exam .

Eligiblity for NDA exam:

Educational Qualifications:

•For Army wing of National Defence Academy:

12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

•For Air Force and Navy wing :

12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Limits:

• Candidate born not earlier than 2nd July, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 1996.

Important dates for NDA II exam:

• Date of Notification: 5th May 2012
• Last Date of Receipt of Applications: 4th June 2012
• Date of commencement of Examination: 19th August 2012
• Duration of Examination: 1 Day

Upsc conducting eXAM in every year, the exam is NDA & NA for 12th completed candidates, this exam is use full for directly join in indian army , indian air force and indian navy jobs.
The exam is based on three types of method for three type of indian jobs selection .
Written test
Interview test
physical test
many more jobs for who have completed degree from any university for rail way jobs , air force jobs , food corporation exams, etc . . . Jobs.

As you have just completed your 12th,. and you have not mentioned your stream is 12th. So it is quite uncomfortable to help.
Nevertheless ,
IF you have PCM[PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHS] in 12th, you can apply for the SCRA [SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE] & NDA [NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY].

NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC ,twice in a year. Through this examination, one can apply in all the combatant branches of the Indian army.,,
i.e. in AIR FORCE,
NAVAL FORCE,
& MILITARY BRANCH.

The age limit for this exam is 16.5-19 years,.

You must have Indian nationality with marital status unmarried.

SCRA- this examination is conducted by UPSC for
appointment in Indian Railway as Special Apprentice.

THE AGE LIMIT FOR THIS EXAMINATION IS 17-25 YEARS.

you are applicable for only NDA exam because the most of the UPSC exams are required minimum qualification degree from a recognized university but NDA exam required 12th srandard from a recognized university.

This exam is conducted by the UPSC once a year.

NDA exam have three wings those are:

1.Indian Army

2.Indian Navy

3.Indian Air force

ELIGIBILITY:

1.Complete 12th standard from a recognized university

2.Age limit for this exam is 16.5 to 19 years.

3.candidate should be a citizen of india.

4.Only unmarried male candidates are applicable

can i seat in exam of UPSC? i have completed DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGG and 12Th in commerse faculty and ITI in draughtsman Mechanical.I have passed NCVT exam of Government.My age is 24 n am unmarried..i want to give this exam for job in airforce or Navy as a mechanical engineer.

No you are not eligible for the exam as the eligiblity for the exam is:

* you hold graduation degree from recognized university.

* Age limit :

21-30 yrs and relaxation for obc and sc/st
