Sorry to say this you are not eligible for Merchant Navy after passing 12th commerce. If you are 12th(Physics,Chemistry,Maths) then you have to eligible for Deck cadets post.so am giving details of Merchant Navy please see.

The training of all the Indian Merchant Navy personnel is the responsibility of the Government of India, who work through the Ministry of Surface Transport.

**Candidates wishing to enter the navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy need to complete their B.Sc. degree in mechanical or marine engineering, before they can gain admission to the field.


**In some cases, students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) are eligible to join as Deck Cadets.

Eligibility:

**The Candidate should also score 50 percent in English at 10th, 12th or diploma course.

**Diploma in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Naval Architecture / Electrical Engineering.

**The candidate should have at least 50 percent marks in diploma course.

**The Candidate age limit is 28 years.

**Unmarried Male and Female candidate are Eligible.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for merchant navy with commerce subjects.
You need the mathematics physics and chemistry.

You can join the navy to apply the NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission twice in a year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

the candidate citizen of india.

You must complete the 10+2 from a recognized state board of india.

Navy exam you need the PCM Subjects.

The age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.

Only male candidates eligible. But candidates are unmarried. Female candidates not eligible.

The candidate should be physically fit.

Sorry commerce students cannot apply for the merchant nay. Only the PCM candidates are eligible to apply for the merchant navy who has obtained more than 60% marks. This is a that sector in which most of the youths are thinking to make a career and if they work hard then sure they are also getting the good job and full filling there dreams.

sorry , after as 12th passed with commerce stream student, you are not eligible to apply for Merchant Navy..
to join Merchant Navy after 12th one should pass his/her 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subject.
Eligibility criteria for Merchant Navy course
* Unmarried male and female candidate are eligible .
* Candidates passing 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are eligible for Merchant Navy course.
* Age requirement is not more than 20 years.
* SC/ST Students 25 years is maximum age , these categories are given relaxation of five years.

Sorry my friend but commerce students are not eligible for Merchant Navy. Only if you have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects, then only you can apply for job in the Merchant Navy.

There is no provision for Arts and Commerce stream students to apply for job in Merchant Navy. This completely rules out your chances of applying for job.

Those who have completed 12th PCM have two options. They can either continue studying and apply for officer level jobs or directly apply for deck cadet jobs after 12th. The officer level jobs are the ones that are recommended since they offer great salary and additional perks.

The courses you can apply for the officer level jobs are:

B.Sc Nautical Science

B.Tech Marine Engineering


Eligibility

1. You should have completed 12th with PCM.

2. Age limit is 20 years.

3. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

4. Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply.

5. Apply for either B.Sc Nautical Science or Marine Engineering.


Direct Entry

1. If you have completed 12th PCM, then you can apply for Deck Cadet job in Merchant Navy. If you are selected by a company. It will arrange 3 months pre sea course for you that is mandatory.

2. If a candidate has completed B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Technology then too he/she is eligible for various officer level jobs in Merchant Navy. However such candidates are required to complete 9 months long pre sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI.

* You can join Merchant Navy after completing B.Tech in Marine Engineering from any recognized college/university.
