Hello,

As earlier it was not accepted by the universities but in recent years many universities have taken this initiative to allow a science student to do BCom. Colleges are open-minded about admitting students from the science background. So, you can do B. Com.

B. Candidates from Science Stream- Minimum 60% aggregate AND 60% in Mathematics

C.Candidates with Eco, Stats, Maths in Class XII- Minimum 60% in aggregate AND 60% in Mathematics

Colleges that can be considered are:
• Hans Raj College, New Delhi,
• Madras Christian College,
• LovelyProfessional University,
• Hindu College, New Delhi,
• Christ University, Bangalore,
• St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore,
• Shri Ram College of Commerce,
• Loyola College, Chennai,
• Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai,
• St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai,
• K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce,
• R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics

Many students join banking field, b.com degree after 12 science it often become difficult for commerce students as for them competition increases.

Hi,
B.Com course comprises of accounts subjects, which you had never come across in science groups.
But if you can able to take up the challenge and interested too, you can take up and get succeed.
In case of BBA, no such accounting knowledge required, as it will have mostly theory papers. Once you have the plan of doing MBA, you can go for BBA.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
