Can I re-sit for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years?
I failed in TY B.Com i.e. in 3rd year of B.Com in Marketing paper in the year 2012. After that I did not attempt that paper again and started some work. I was studying under Mumbai University. So, now can I re-sit for that particular paper again?

Re: Can I re-sit for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years?
In general you can apply for failed papers after gap. The process for applying is very simple you just the visit the college and apply for the failed papers and attend the exam.
The maximum time required for completing graduation level degree is 7 years from the time of admission. You have completed more than 7 years, you'll be not eligible for applying to the exam. Since your college comes under Mumbai university the chances for applying for the failed papers after 6 years gap are less. |

Re: Can I re-sit for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years?
Most of the universities or colleges may not permit you to re - appear for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years. Though, few universities may permit you to continue your study after a gap of 6 years. So, I want to suggest you to consult with the Head of Department of that college or university and convey the reason for gapping 6 years. If he/she permit you, you can continue.

Re: Can I re-sit for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years?
Sorry, to say that you are not eligible to reappear in B.Com 3rd year examination after 6 years of gap. For every course, there will be minimum and maximum duration. You have to complete the course with minimum duration or within maximum duration to be eligible to pursue B.Com course. The minimum duration of B.Com course is three years and the maximum duration is six years. Since, the maximum duration of B.Com course from the date you have taken admission is completed, you are not eligible to reappear in B.Com third year examination.

As it is 6 years passed and now you are not allowed to reappear in that paper again. You can reappear only under 3 years. But after or more than 3 years you have to take readmission then only you will be eligible to pursue that degree. You can take admission from same university or you can also change university.

Re: Can I re-sit for 3rd year B.Com exam after a gap of 6 years?
As far as you are concerned about the possibility to resume your B.Com degree after a gap of six years then it is not possible as the maximum duration allowed for completing a bachelor degree course is usually five years for most of the universities or six years in case of some university.
So, having a gap of six years after second of year of bachelor degree course means your bachelor degree will be of approximately of nine years which is not permissible. |
