I am B.Sc. graduate (Math and Physics) with 52% marks, 2008
so can I start study in M. Tech. for join IAF?

Dear Friend

B.Sc. students need to first complete M.Sc. then they can get admission in M.Tech.

There is no officer entry in Indian Airforce which specifically require M.Tech. passed
student.
If you are a B.Sc./B.Tech. graduate (and Phy+Maths in12th) then you can join
Flying branch of IAF.

For Technical branch of IAF only students with B.Tech. degree (or equivalent, Also
their B.Tech. course must contain some specific subjects as mentioned in the advt.

For Ground Duty branch PG degree holders in any discipline (not essentially M.Tech.)
are allowed.

There is percentage criteria of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.


If you fulfill the age criteria of Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) then
your present qualification is sufficient to join Indian Airforce as an officer.
There is no percentage restriction in CDSE.

(Age Limit for CDSE Airforce wing : 19-23 years ~ at the time of commencement of training)

CDSE is conducted twice a year by UPSC

After doing PG perhaps you will not fulfill the age criteria of CDSE.

Therefore if you have to go in Airforce you should apply for exams on time and
prepare hard to qualify for the exam, rather than doing M.Tech.

Hello Everybody... i am vidya now i am doing B.Sc-II. after completion of my graduation i want to join an Indian airforce... Is it possible for me... If possible pls inform me and tell me the terms and requirements.....
