Having completed your Class 12th in Commerce stream, you are eligible to join Indian Army both as a commissioned officer as well as junior commissioned officer provided you are an unmarried Indian male candidate.

Further, to join as a commissioned officer, you need to join NDA (National Defense Academy) by qualifying NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year. Also, to appear in the same examination, your age need to lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

While for joining as Junior Commissioned Officer (Soldier/ Soldier Clerk/ Tradesman), you are required to qualify its respective recruitment process and for appearing in the same, your age need to lie within 17 years to 23.5 years.

For details and updates regarding different entries available in Indian Army, you can refer to the link www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

You can appear for the NDA examination. NDA examination is conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing 12th from a recognised board.

Candidates passed 12th in Commerce stream are eligible for selection in Indian Army as an officer after qualifying in Written and SSB of the NDA examination.

The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years.

You can join the Indian Army as a Clerk or Soldier through the recruitment examination conducted by Indian Army.
