Hi, I have completed my B.Com General and had qualified Intermediate with CEC stream (Civics, Economics and Commerce). So, now am I eligible to do MCA? If not, then what are best career options available for me?

To be eligible for pursuing MCA course, you should possess anyone of the following i.e.

• Completed graduation course with anyone subject i.e. Computer Science/ Computer Application/ IT/ Mathematics/ Statistics
  Or
• Completed 10+2 with Mathematics or Statistics subject.

Since, you have completed B.Com in General with subjects like Civics, Economics and Commerce, so you won't be able to apply for MCA course.

After completing B.Com, you have multiple options ahead like:

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Masters of Commerce (M.Com)
• Masters of Business Administration (MBA in Finance)
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Civil Services (UPSC)
• Defence Services (CDS)

MCA is Master in Computer Application.

It is two or three year duration course varies with institutions.

The basic eligiblility to get admission in the course, is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree with Mathematics or Computer as one of the main paper.

Entrance examination is conducted for admission in various institutions.

No,you are not eligible for doing MCA after completing your graduation in B.com

Eligiblity criteria:-

--Candiate must passed 12th with minimum of 50-60%Mark's.

---Camdidate must clear your graduation in computer science and computer application with minimum of 50%Mark's.
