Chances of application being rejected if applying using basic qualification instead of higher qualification?

Respected Sir, I am a civil engineering graduate. Last day I applied for overseer/tracer post(water authority) with my basic qualification of SSLC only. By mistake I didn't noticed equivalent or higher qualification option. I would like to know whether my application will be reject or not?
