Admission 2012

The Panjab University will hold an entrance test for admission to three year postgraduate degree courses (MD/MS) Junior Residents, for the year-2012 in the Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector-32, Chandigarh on 05th February 05, 2012, Sunday at Panjab University campus, Chandigarh

The total number of seats for admission in the year 2012 are 37, which are divided equally into All India Pool and U.T. Pool as following

All India Pool (18 Seats): In compliance with the Supreme Court decision, 50% of total number of seats are reserved for All India Pool

U.T. Pool (19 Seats): The 50% of total number of seats are reserved for students who have passed their MBBS examination from Medical Institutions of Union Territory, Chandigarh

The 14% seats are reserved for SC

MD Obstt and Gynae; 03 seats; All India basis 02; UT Pool General 01

MS (Ophthalmology) 03 seats; All India basis 02; UT Pool General 01

MS (Orthopaedics); 01 seats; All India basis 01

MS Oto-Rhini-Laryngology (ENT); 01 seats; UT Pool General 01

MD (Pathology); 06 seats; All India basis 03; UT Pool General 03

MD (Pulmonary Medicine) 02 seats; All India basis 01; UT Pool General 01

Total 37 seats, All India basis 18, UT Pool SC 03, UT Poll General 16

The departments where the single seat is sanctioned by Govt of India will be put for All India Allocation on alternative year

The department having two seats shall have 50% All India Allocation of one seat each

The department having three seats will have All India Allocation of two and one seats for every alternative year

Allocation of the 14% reservation for SC (UT Pool) will be made by rotation in alphabetic order of the discipline

Eligibility and Selection: Selection of students for admission shall be made as under

All India Pool (18 seats): The screening test for All India Pool shall be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and candidates will be allocated to the Govt Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh as per their preference in order of merit by the Director General of Health Services, Delhi

U.T. Pool (19 seats): The Postgraduate Entrance Examination for U.T. Pool shall be conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh as per notification issued by the Chandigarh Administration. The students shall be admitted as per their preference in order of merit in the entrance test

Eligibility conditions for U.T. Pool: The students must have qualified their MBBS examination from Medical Institutions of Union Territory, Chandigarh

Candidate should have completed internship satisfactorily before the last date of application for PG entrance examination

However, for MD (Anatomy), candidates who have worked as demonstrator in Anatomy for one year or more in GMCH are also eligible to apply for MD (Anatomy) only as general category departmental candidates but they will also have to appear in the entrance examination and compete with other candidates

If a candidate admitted to the course, leaves before completion of full period he/she shall be debarred for next 3 years from applying for admission to any PG course in GMCH

Candidates in employment of Govt/Semi Govt/Autonomous bodies/corporation must submit their application form through their employer or produce no objection certificate from/through their employer on or before the last date of receipt of application forms

Submission of application form for test

Application, complete in all respects and in the prescribed envelope, along with the requisite documents should reach on or before 16th January, 2012, Monday up to 4.00 p.m. in the office of the Assistant Registrar CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandera Hall (near post office) Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014

The following documents in the given sequence must accompany the application form; Acknowledgement card; main application form; admit card; self-addressed envelopes for admit card and result card

Incomplete application forms (in any manner), and those received after 4.00 p.m. on 16th January, 2012 shall not be entertained under any circumstances, whatsoever, regardless of the fact whether the application is sent by post or through courier or by any other means. Roll numbers to such applicants shall not be issued and no correspondence, whatsoever, in this connection shall be made or entertained by the University. The Panjab University does not take any responsibility for any postal delay or delay in delivery by courier or by any other means or for loss in transit of the application form

The candidates in employment must forward their application through proper channel

Applications not routed through the employer will not be considered

In respect of candidates belonging to SC, a certified true copy of a certificate as per format should be enclosed. It should be signed and countersigned by the competent authority mentioned therein

The candidates, who qualify the test shall have to apply directly and independently to GMCH to seek admission by 09th March, 2012 up to 5.00 p.m.

He/she should submit the admission form along with attested photo copies of all documents to GMCH by due date

A candidate will not be considered for admission in the college if he/she does not submit his/her application form for admission within the above date

Merit List: A candidate has to obtain at least 50% marks (general category) and 40% marks (SC category) in order to qualify the test

There are significant ques.of biology Which seems to be incorrect in aipmt 2014.cn those ques would be correct as soon as possible?
