See it depends on the ranking of the college. If you'll get more than 90 percentile then there will be a possibility to get NITs and if your percentile will come between 50-70 then you wont get good college. But there are some Private colleges also. These private colleges will accept the low pecentile.

you can check for colleges when they send out an admissions opening. your gate score will help you to know which college can accept you.
try for govt and aided colleges. and if you have a quota, it'll be an advantage as seats are generally available. |

since you have not mentioned your GATE score, rank etc, it is hard to mention any college names.
but you can try for some colleges which don,t accept GATE score or non GATE colleges. or give it a second try if you don't want to waste a year... |

There are somany IIts, NITs, Govt and Private colleges providing quality PG courses in Technology. Some of NITs and Govt colleges are not getting sufficient GATE students to fulfill the courses. If you dont have good gate score you may apply to all govt colleges and low rated courses of highly rated NITs or rated courses in new NITs. Its sure that you will definitly a seat in private sector....all the best
