Mostly both of them has the same value and to join in these courses there are certain eligibility conditions such as you should have not exceeded 17 years of age and regarding the educational qualification for B.sc you need to have completed +2 with at least 55% aggregate and computer science as subjects. In the case of joining in BCA you need to have completed +2 with at least 60% aggregate and should have mathematics as subject. So, apart from this the option of choosing all goes with your feeling. |

Re: Commerce student can do B.Sc or BCA?
Sorry to tell you that commerce students cannot do B.Sc or BCA course.
Eligibility for B.Sc 1. Candidates must complete 12th maths, physics and chemistry course for doing the B.Sc related courses in maths. 2. Candidates must complete 12th biology, physics and chemistry course for doing B.Sc in biology stream. The minimum age to do B.Sc is 17 years and there is no upper age limit for doing B.Sc. There is no minimum marks percentage required for doing B.Sc but top colleges and university ask for 60% marks in 12th. Eligibility for BCA : 1. The candidates must complete 12th with maths, physics and chemistry course. 2. The age limit is 17 - 22 years. 3. The minimum marks percentage required in 12th is 45%. |

Re: Commerce student can do B.Sc or BCA?
Bsc is a bachelor degree course. For being eligible in this course it is necessary to have a +2 course from a recognised board with good percentile with either having the PCM background or PCB background.
BCA is also a bachelor degree course. BCA is Bachelor in computer and applications. The duration of this course is three years. The basic eligibility criteria for this course is , to have a successfully passed in the +2 course in any stream from a recognised board with nice percentiles. As you are telling that you are from the commerce trade so you are not eligible for the bachelor in science course. But you are eligible for the BCA course with commerce trade. |

Re: Commerce student can do B.Sc or BCA?
Why are science students allowed to do all the courses from other streams like bcom and commerce and arts students are not allowed? I know that technical field needs base but commerce and arts students are lagging behind as the resume of the science students gets more weightage after doing BE and MBA? Don't you think it is totally injustice?
