Is it compulsory to qualify NET or SET exam after P.hd. for teaching in colleges? Is P.hd. is sufficient?

Yes, it is necessary to be qualified in NET or SLET entrance examination in order to become a Lecturer in colleges. So, If you are interested to become lecturer then I suggest you to crack the NET or SLET entrance examination with good marks.

NET/SLET ie:- (National Eligibility Test / State Level Eligibility Test)

Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification :- Applicants with post graduation course in any discipline are eligible to apply for NET/SET entrance examination and must minimum 55% marks in master degree course and 5% relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students.

For Junior Research Fellowship:- Applicants age should not more than 28 years and relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates for 5 years

For Lectureship:- There is no Upper age limit.

Examination Fees for NET Examination :-

-General Candidates for :- Rs . 450
-SC/ST Candidates for :- Rs. 110
-OBC and other Backward Candidates for :- Rs. 225

The Important Notification for this examination may published in employment news paper and Official website of UGC. You may apply for this Examination in both the online as well as offline. The Notification for this Examination may published in during the Month of March, Last date of Online Application for this Examination during the Month of April, Date of Entrance Examination during the Month of December.
