Which course to study for and how to get into the Archaeological Department of India?
What are the courses that are available to get into the Archaeological Department of India and which stream should I choose in 12th? Is there any specialized graduate course available or I have to take normal B.Com or BA only? Please guide.

Most of the universities offer Archaeology oriented courses in post-graduation. In graduation, you can opt any course. If you are pursuing B.A. in History, Sociology or Anthropology, then it would be better for you to understand concepts in post graduation. Further, you can do Master course in Archaeology that offers many universities and institutes like BHU, Institute of Archaeology (Delhi), etc.
