NET stands for National Eligibility Test.This exam is conducted by UGC every year twice to take qualified student as Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship.
Eligibility criteria for NET exam: - You should have complete post graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university and should have maintained 55% marks. - Your age should not be less than 18 years and no limit for maximum age. Those who have completed your Post graduate degree in Management are eligible for opt Management subject in NET Examination. Can a retired employee having B.Tech(Chem Engg) and MBA qualifications work as a Lecturer in Management College(Private or Govt) after his age of 60 years ? Will he be required to clear NET for Lecturership in Govt College ? Can Industry experience at senior managerial level be treated as equivalent to academic experience?

I HAD COMPLETED MY MBA IN OPERATION MANAGEMENT FROM SIKKIM MANIPAL UNIVERSITY. I WANT TO GIVE NET EXAMS.SUGGEST THE SYLLABUS COURSE TO STUDY AND STUDY MATERIALS.KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL ASAP. |

National Eligibility Test is for college lectureship and PhD. Therefore to appear for this entrance exam you must have completed post graduation course. Its up to you to decide the post graduation course.
Both regular and distance education mode candidates are eligible for National Eligibility Test as long as their PG degree is recognized by the University Grants Commission. The test is conducted twice in a year. Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. Post graduation degree holder in any stream. 3. At least 55 percent marks in PG course. 4. Minimum of 50 percent marks are required for SC and ST. 5. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply. 6. But they will have to submit their degrees within 2 years. 7. NET subject should be relevant to PG course. 8. There is no restriction on attempts. Age Limit 1. The age limit for JRF is 28 years. 2. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 3. SC and ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation. 4. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. |

UGC conducts NET examination twice every year for the posts of JRF and Lectureship. The eligibility criteria required for NET examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of post-graduation with 55% marks(50% marks for SC/ST contendors) or a final year student of post-graduation from UGC recognised university. * Age limit- 20-28 yrs for JRF and no age bar for Lectureship. * Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian. Pediatric in nursing is eligible for social and community medicine ugc net? once i cleared the exam means how long the certificate will be valid for lectureship /asst professor.I need to get NOC from the institution.
