i have scord 253 marks in bitsat can i expect admission in bits pilani for b.e or at goa,hyderabad campus please also tell me what about their dual degree programme will it be available for me

Bits takes at total 80% in 12th.
It can’t be compensated. They have their own entrance.
Search at their home site.

with that score it looks impossible to get a admission in any of bits institute.....

it depends how well others have scored ,every year the marks changes depending on the marks scored by students.If u qualify thn u might be eligible for dual degree.

i want to know the previous cutoffs for m.tech program i bits.

You may possibly get some MSc courses. I just checked last years cutoff and so you might need some luck too to get admission to BITS

sir i got 87.8 percentile in gate 2010.i m from sc category. i want to ask two things.As we know this score is valid fr twi yrs
1.am i able to get any branch in any of iit in 2011 with this score.

yes you have a chance of getting m.sc bio in pilani, b.pharma in pilani, ms.tech iinfo sys in pilani and likewse in goa and hyd

where can i get bits pilani entrance examination 2012 application form

BITSAT is the online entrance exam to get admission in BITS(Birla Institute of Technology and science).

The eligibility criteria for a candidate to be considered for admission are:

1. The candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
   
2. The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English.

The marks you obtain in your board exams only make you eligible for admission but it is not the condition for getting admission in BITS.Admissions will be made only on your merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT2012.

Since you have secured only 160 marks, you have no chance of getting admission in any of the BITS campus for any of the graduation course.
The minimum cut off for various courses start from 227 marks.

You may look for admission in other good universities such as VIT,SRM,manipal amongst all others for a good future.

Hi friend

Dual Degree: All MSc. (Hons) will get an assured BE Degree , alloted to them at the end of the 1st year, based on their CGPA for 1st year. You get a BE and an Integrated Msc and you spend 5 years. Integrated MSc. basically is BSc + MSc combined, and it can be done by a 12th pass student in a duration of 5 years.(4 years without dual).
Also BITS Pilani offers M.Sc degrees along with the B.E degrees. This M.Sc degree isn't a Graduate degree that is undertaken after the B.Sc, but is considered as an integrated first degree. Both the B.E and M.Sc degrees are completed within four years. However, students pursuing M.Sc degrees are given the option to take on any B.E degree as a 'dual', depending on the CGPA after the first year. This dual degree is completed in five years, at the end of which you get both the degrees, namely M.Sc and B.E

The concept of a dual degree in BITS is unique and it offers a lot of benefits. It's a great opportunity for students to experience pure sciences as well as engineering. Fundamentally there is no difference between a single and dual degree student. It all depends on how students grab this opportunity. This is one of the flexibilities of the BITS education system.

Since the job opportunities in both of these courses are the same, it totally comes down to your interest. If you have particular interest in any subject such as physics, chmistry or say biology, you can do the MSc. course in addition to your B.E and it only adds to your knowledge, interest and your profile. But if you're not interested on any particular subject, you can choose a B.E only without any worries as eventually there's not much differentiation between both.
