Re: Cutoff list of 2nd year admission in engineering?
The procedure to take admission in the second year of B.Tech is called lateral entry scheme. Most of the colleges offer this scheme but only to the candidates who have either completed diploma in engineering or the Bachelor of Science course.
You can seek admission in any college with exception of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and National Institute of Technology (NIT). Unfortunately these institutes do not offer lateral entry for the engineering courses. The procedure of admission in these colleges include appearing for IIT-JEE entrance exam and AIEEE. But you are not suppose to appear for these exams for lateral entry admission. Neither you can appear for these exams since they require candidate to complete 12th standard. The process of lateral entry admission is that you will have to appear for the entrance exam called LEET. This exam is conducted in various states and only on the basis of this exam, several universities will offer you admission. It is difficult to point out cut off list for this exam. It depends of the performance of the candidates. There is another way to seek admission. You can get admission on the basis of merit. Direct admission is offered in various colleges. However here too cut off list would depend on the candidates applying for admission. It varies from year to year. However you need to score at least 60 percent marks in diploma course to be eligible for LEET entrance exam and the direct admission on merit. |
