when is the date of application for the next set examination and the syllabus also?

SET stands for Scientist Entry Test in Defence Research and Development Organization.

SET is conducted every year by RECRUITMENT AND ASSESSMENT CENTRE for recruitment

in DRDO for the post of scientist(Jr.) for engineering/science Graduate and Postgraduates

of various streams.

The advertisement for the exam should be available till last week of April.

The examination will be conducted in the month of September.

The written examination comprises of two sections.

Section A : 100 questions from B.E./ B.Tech. (for Engg discipline) or
MSc ( for Science Discipline)

Section B: of 50 questions from analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and
general awareness to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied
Research & Development. Based on the organisation's requirements.

The DRDO SET is conducted in Engineering streams such as
Aeronautics, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Computer,
Electronics/Electronics & Communication,
Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy etc
The science subjects for which SET is conducted in Chemistry, Physics and
Maths/ Operations Research/ Statistics etc.

The exact subjects should be specified in the advertisement for SET according to
vacancies available.

I Think Your Question Was Not Complete, Because You Have Not Mention In Your Question, That In Which SET Examination Information You Need.

Because SET Exam Is Conducted By Symbosis And It Is Also Conducted In Different States In India Like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, And West Bengal.

DRDO SET is conducted on all India basis on 1st Sunday of September every year in order to provide equal opportunity to all students from different educational institutions in view of the increasingly wide variation in the marking pattern of different educational institutions in the country.

DRDO SET exam is of three hours duration consisting of two sections
