DU SET Exam Pattern
For various specialty courses in medicine Delhi University conducts Delhi University Super Specialty Entrance Test (DU SET) every year. The candidates intending for admission to super specialty courses can apply for the exam. The basic qualification needed for a candidate to apply for the test is a post graduation in the medical field. Many students all over the country make use of this opportunity and join the specialty courses. The course duration is for three years.

Structure and Syllabus of DU SET
The candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored by the candidate for the entrance examination. The test consists of objective type questions and the candidate need to select the right answer from the options given. The test is conducted as three papers. The first paper consists of 80 questions. The total marks allotted for this section is 320.It is a general paper and all students need to attend this paper. The time frame for completing these 80 questions is 80 minutes. The second paper focuses on DM students. Those attending this paper need to answer these questions within two hours. Those students who are applying for the M.Ch course need to attend the third paper and the time for attending this session is two hours. The second and third session contains 120 questions. Each question carries 4 marks. The candidates who manage to get good score for the exam are admitted for the course. The examination follows the syllabus as per the master’s stream.

Preparing for DU SET
The candidates planning to appear for DU SET need to put in hard work and need good subject knowledge. They should follow a well prepared plan for studies. The candidates can collect the syllabus and plan accordingly. They can prepare short notes while studying. They can collect sample question papers and along with previous question paper. Daily revision is needed. The candidates need to be clear about the pattern and style of questions. The candidates should attend the exam in a relaxed mood with confidence which will help them to score good marks for the exam.
