TANCET means Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test and this examination is conducted by Anna University Once in a year.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA :-

• You should be completed your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
• You must secure at least 50% aggregate marks(45% aggregate marks for reserved categories).
• Those who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for MBA examination.

TANCET Important dates :-

• Date of Registration through Internet :- 01.02.12
• Last date for Registration through Internet :- 23.02.12
• Last date for Registration at Chennai Centre (registered through Internet) :- 25.02.2012
• Date of MBA examination :- 31.03.12

Entrance examination fees :-

Cost of application form :- 500/- (250 for SC/ST/SCA candidates.)

Those candidate have above 50% marks in graduation degree are applicable for TANCET MBA course.

Marks relaxation is provide only for SC/ST category.

Final year student are also applicable .There is no age criteria.You can apply here in any stage of your life.

Hey friend,

This exam is conducted for candidates to join in colleges for PG courses like MCA,MBA,M.Tech, ME, M.Arch ,M.Plan programme.

There are specific eligibility conditions framed for the exam for the respected courses and you need to satisfy them in order to apply for the exam.

Important Dates for TANCET 2012:

Commencement of Registration : 01.04.2011

Last date for Registration through Internet : 25.04.2011

Last date for receipt of completed application : 27.04.2011

Enquiry office functioning 26.05.2011 & 27.05.2011 (Chennai only)

For All Centres : 27.05.2011

M.B.A. Entrance Test : 28.05.2011

M.C.A. Entrance Test : 28.05.2011

M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Entrance Test : 29.05.2011

Please see the TANCET website http://www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012/ for online booking, booklets, etc. Online registration has already commenced and goes upto 23rd Feb only. Physical copies need to be received upto 25th Feb.

There is also a provision for Spot physical registration at 15 centres in Tamilnadu. You have to approach these venues with the prescribed documents and register yourself and receive the admit card.

You have very limited time to respond.

Exam for MBA and MCA is on 31st March and M. Tech, etc is on 1st April. Results will be declared by 4th April.

Detailed syllabus has also been given. Please note that Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E./B.Tech. degree courses and Candidates with B.E./B.Tech./M.C.A./M.Sc. degrees obtained through week end courses and B.E./B.Tech. through distance mode are not eligible. There is no mention of any age limit.

For each of three exams (ie, MBA, MCA and M. Tech), the fees is Rs. 500/-. SC/ST candidates need to pay only Rs. 250/- per exam.

Each exam is of two hours duration. The questions are of multiple choice. There is negative marking for wrong answers.

The TANCET score will be used for admission in Anna University, Govt and Govt aided colleges, and single window counselling seat quota of self financing colleges.
